Rev. Matthew Hovde, C.S.C., serves as the Rector of Zahm Hall at the University of Notre Dame.  He entered the Congregation of Holy Cross as a freshman in the Old College Undergraduate Seminary in the fall of 2007, right after graduating from Coral Reef High School in Miami, FL.  He graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2011 with a B.A. in History and Theology.  He then completed his M.Div. from Notre Dame in May of 2015, and professed his Perpetual Vows in Holy Cross in August of 2015.  Following his ordination as a deacon, he served as an Assistant Rector of Sorin College and as a Chaplain for Sacramental Preparation in Campus Ministry.  Father Matt began directing the Short Course RCIA program and assisting in marriage preparation.  He was ordained a priest April 2, 2016. Father Matt continues to serve Notre Dame students as Rector of Zahm and the Chaplain of the Marching Band.
