Rev. Stephen Kempinger, C.S.C., currently serves in the Enrollment Division as a Special Projects Assistant with responsibilities undertaking projects with the Offices of Undergraduate Admissions, Financial Aid, and Recruitment and Communications. His background is in primary and secondary education. Father Steve served on the faculty at Notre Dame College Prep in Niles, Illinois, Principal at Christ the King School in South Bend, Indiana, and Superintendent of Catholic Schools for the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend. He has also served on the staff of Moreau Seminary, serving as its Assistant Superior, and was the Administrator of Holy Cross House, the medical facility for Priests and Brothers of Holy Cross on the campus of Notre Dame. Father Steve graduated with a B.S. from Notre Dame in PreProfessional Studies. He also holds an M.Ed. from Loyola University Chicago in School Administration and Supervision, and an M.Div. from Oblate School of Theology in San Antonio. He is a native of Indianapolis, Indiana, and was ordained in 2001.
