Rev. Thomas J. Jones, C.S.C., currently assists at Sacred Heart Parish, Notre Dame. Ordained a priest in April 1972, he served as parochial vicar at Saint Joseph’s Parish, South Bend. He was appointed Director of the Office of Music and Worship for the Diocese of Fort Wayne – South Bend from 1978 – 1984 by Bishop William McManus. Between 1984 and 2017, he served as pastor of Saint Pius X Parish, Granger IN; then pastor of Christ the King Parish South Bend IN; then pastor of Sacred Heart Parish Notre Dame IN, as well as Vicar Forane for the South Bend North deanery from 2000 – 2007. He spent the fall semester in 1994 studying scripture in Jerusalem, Israel, and the fall semester of 2007 at the Institute of Continuing Theological Education at the Pontifical North American College in Rome, Italy.
