Karl is a temporarily professed seminarian, currently committed to theological and pastoral training for priesthood in Holy Cross. He is in his fourth year of the Master of Divinity program at Notre Dame and resides in O'Neill Family Hall as an assistant rector. Karl is a native of Clarkston, MI within the Archdiocese of Detroit. After graduating from Our Lady of the Lakes High School, he entered the Old College Undergraduate Seminary at Notre Dame in 2009. He graduated with a B.A. in 2013. On campus, Karl has been involved in sacramental preparation through Campus Ministry, as well as facilitating the development of student discipleship through the spirituality of Basil Moreau. Karl will profess perpetual vows with Holy Cross in August of 2018, and he will be ordained a priest in April 2019.
