Rev. Stephen Kempinger, C.S.C., currently serves in the Enrollment Division as a Special Projects Assistant with responsibilities undertaking projects that are focused on identifying, communicating with, recruiting, and enrolling high-talent Catholic Students. His background is in primary and secondary education. Father Steve taught at Notre Dame College Prep in Niles, Illinois, was Principal at Christ the King School in South Bend, Indiana and was Superintendent of Catholic Schools for the Diocese of Fort-Wayne-South Bend. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Indiana Non-Public Education Association and as a consultant for the National Catholic Education Association presenting workshops on School Finance. Father Steve is on the staff at Moreau Seminary serving as Assistant Superior and Director of the Postulant Program. Father Steve graduated with a B.S. from Notre Dame in PreProfessional Studies. He also holds an M.Ed. from Loyola University Chicago in School Administration and Supervision and an M.Div. from Oblate School of Theology in San Antonio. He is a native of Indianapolis, Indiana and was ordained in 2001.
